Tim Schafer On Game Development

I love this.

The way it felt, I know this doesn't make any sense, but in my head, the creative process of making a game is like you're looking at this field of floating, multi-colored dots.  They're drifting slowly to the ground.  And eventually when they hit the ground, they're going to make like a painting on the floor.  But you've got to kind of like move them around… And as they fall, you start to see where you need more color and you move them around.  And slowly they settle.  And then you're done.
